Extending Opportunities for English Learners
July 29-31, 2010—3 credits

More and more educators want to better serve English language learners- the fastest-growing segment of the school-age population. This three-day institute and on-line follow–up provide concrete, hands-on strategies and knowledge, including:

• Strategies for improving oral language development and literacy skills
• Understanding the role of out-of-school-time in supporting English learners
